Bullous Myringitis
A 4-year-old child presented to the emergency department (ED) with left ear pain for one day. His mother reports the child has had a cough and congestion but no fever. He went to bed a little earlier than was usual for him but awoke shortly after crying in pain. In the ED, he is in obvious discomfort with a hand over his left ear. His vitals are notable for mild tachycardia. He has nasal congestion with yellow rhinorrhea.
